Villa (2014–2020)

This photography series emerged as a by-product of my research on the villa typology in Italy. Rather than documenting architecture in a conventional sense, the images seek to capture the atmosphere of Renaissance villas – their interplay of light and shadow, layered histories, and the subtle dialogue between cultivated interiors and surrounding landscapes. The work reflects an attempt to translate architectural research into a visual register, where space is understood as both physical setting and lived experience.
